Prerequisites: ADD-ON class. Must be registered in Contemporary Sen2C-Sen3C.

For our senior dancers. Our hope is to combine as many dancers as possible from the 2 senior groups. Combining these
groups will create both a memorable dance and some wonderful memories for the dancers! This group will incorporate the
skills that they have learned from their years of contemporary dance along with innovative choreography that can only be
done with large groups.

  • Dancers must commit to attending FRIDAY classes bi-weekly. May include long weekends.
  • Attendance is of utmost importance. No more than 2 absences for this class.
  • A contract will be given that will outline the expectations for each line group.
  • This group will compete in 4 festivals (entry fees are extra).
  • This group will perform in the annual recital.
  • A costume will be required. (Costume fees are extra)
  • There will be a one-time payment of $150 to join. Payment will be applied to you account upon signing agreement in
    September.
  •  No refunds given if dancer drops the class once the first class starts

Classes will start Friday, October 10.

Registration: Those interested in joining any of our SPECIALS are welcome to express interest by email or in person once classes commence. You will receive an informational letter and contract. Once the signed contract is submitted, the office will register you into the SPECIAL(S) of your choosing. You may choose multiple SPECIALS to join.

This Adult Contemporary Dance class was created to celebrate community, music, exercise, and our love for dance! Discover new possibilities for movement, no matter what your previous movement experience may be. Each class will consist of warm up, preparatory exercises, and extended dance phrases with emphasis on ease, coordination, and moving through space.

Recital/Costume:    This class will compete in 3-4 competitions, the annual recital and require a costume.

DDA DANCE INTENSIVE  (Ages 8+)

Bring your skills to the next level this summer!

Our DDA Dance Intensive is designed to celebrate our dancers’ commitment and dedication to dance.

Divided into three divisions (ages 8+): Junior, Intermediate, and Senior, dancers will be placed in the appropriate level based on the upcoming season. We also welcome motivated recreational students and outside registrations and will guide them through a brief consultation to ensure the best fit.**

Participants will be offered a comprehensive curriculum covering various dance styles including ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre, allowing dancers to deepen their understanding and proficiency in each discipline.

Each day will be filled with challenging and high-energy dance classes designed to push students to their limits and help them develop their technique, strength, flexibility, and artistry. We are currently finalizing the faculty lineup and are excited to bring you an exceptional team of instructors!

Highly recommended for competitive stream students, this Intensive is the perfect opportunity to elevate their dance skills and to keep their technique sharp over the summer.

Dancers will be ready to start the upcoming dance season with confidence, energy, and unforgettable memories with their dance peers!

Open to former competitive dancers from DDA and/or faculty. This class will allow former dancers to reignite their love for dance! This class will use technique as a pathway to fluid and powerful expression and integrate principals of a variety of contemporary dance practices, such as the use of weight, suspension, breath, energy, and musicality

Recital/Costume:    This class will compete in 3-4 competitions, the annual recital and require a costume.
