Exciting news to share for DDA from Darlene:
In July of next year, I am passing the torch onto Miss Cindy to be the new director of the studio while I retire to a new and unknown life.
Many things will remain the same which is important for everyone to understand as Miss Cindy has already been doing different projects for the studio over the years and we will continue to work together through out this year.
Who is Miss Cindy? Well most of you already know her as you’ve probably started dance classes with her when you were young or been taught as a student teacher as she’s now going into her 17th year with DDA. She is definitely the right person to continue on the DDA legacy and I’m pretty excited for her as are her 2 girls and husband that are with her for this journey.
As for myself, I will have had the most amazing 34 years doing what I love and all because I just followed my passion and created an environment for what is recognized by all of you as ‘Family’. This last year is going to be so special as I head into my 45th year teaching dance and also dancing with my adult tap ladies to finish off the year with Part 2 of my all time favorite dance.
Where do I go after this year? I have no idea at this moment but for the first time in my life I can’t wait to discover what ever that journey will be. I just know that after today ‘I’m only 30’ isn’t going to work for me anymore and I’m going to want to go for those senior discounts but I’m not going to show my grey just yet. lol
Miss Cindy and I are both so thankful to have all of you in our lives as we celebrate both our journeys that it made sense to have our recital be called ‘Life’s A Journey’.
Cheers to a year of celebrating together!
xoxo
