What do you do at DDA?
I teach ballet and jazz rec / comp! I also work in the office.

What led you to work in this field?
I started dancing when I was five, following in my sister’s footsteps, and I began assistant teaching at fifteen. I was also very fortunate to start taking professional ballet exams at fifteen! I love working in this field because watching the growth and confidence of young dancers is incredibly rewarding.

Did you have a favorite style of dance growing up?
Jazz! I love the versatility jazz brings, with a close second being Modern.

When did you join DDA?
In 2022.

Best thing of being part of the DDA team?
DDA has such a great support system within the staff, and the students are always so willing to learn.

What is a fun fact about you?
I have a hedgehog named Ivar who loves a foot bath.

Where do we find you when you are not working?
Most likely nannying or doing schoolwork for university!

Your advice to young dancers?
Remember to have fun! Dance is an enjoyable experience and should stay that way. Tell your teachers your needs, and don’t sweat the little things.
