Dance Type: Jazz

1 hour            Age 18+              Adult Class              Full Year Program

Prerequisites:    Previously danced at DDA as an Int or Sen competitive dancer and/or faculty.

Open to former competitive dancers and/or faculty. Step back into the studio for a chance to refine your technique and spark your artistry.
Join us for this high-energy hour-long class that explores the sharp movement and style of jazz dance.

Recital/Costume:    This class will compete in 3-4 competitions, the annual recital and require a costume.

Dance Wear:   Please refer to Dance Attire for required dance wear for this class.

These COMBO classes are for 6-year-olds that we feel would be a great fit in the competitive stream. Dancers will attend two 1-hour classes per week: one focused on Tap/Hip Hop and the other on Ballet/Jazz. Students in this program will learn and perform three routines—Hip Hop, Tap, and Jazz—at two competitions and the year-end recital.

Requirements: Must be registered in both classes to participate

Tap/Hip Hop: 1 hour per week
Regular attendance, attention and good behavior required

Ballet/Jazz: 1 hour per week
Regular attendance, attention and good behavior required

Recital/Costume:  This class performs a routine in our annual recital and will require costumes.

9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Join us in the Emerald City for a wickedly fun dance adventure!

Dancers  will channel their inner Galinda or Elphaba while exploring jazz and musical theatre in this magical, high-energy camp.
